Understanding buildings (or Architecture for non-architects) is a half-day session looking at the basics of building design; proportions, details and materials. We will work through some of the basic areas of skills and knowledge aimed at less experienced officers or private sector practitioners. There will be talks by industry experts and plenty of hands-on exercises.
