Introducing Kent Design LUNCH & LEARN – a series of online 1hr briefing events for 2021/22

The 15 Minute Neighbourhood concept aims to provide for the daily needs of residents within a 15-minute walk or cycle. It has gained huge popularity over the past 18 months, with cities from Paris to Melbourne citing it as a major policy initiative. But what does it mean in practice and how can towns in Kent employ the concept to create sustainable, healthy, and high-quality places? This briefing session will explore the concept, with practical advice on how it can be implemented.

Objectives:

  • Understand the main elements of the 15 Minute Neighbourhood concept
  • Explore how the concept could be applied to existing areas and new developments in Kent

Online Learning events are designed for public and private sector practitioners with limited or some knowledge and experience of the topic, and those who would like to refresh or build on their existing knowledge.

The Online Learning event will include:

  • a live speaker presentation and Q&A
  • a member only resource library of ‘watch again’ content, presentations and other documentation for further reading
