Recent changes to national policy and guidance places a strong emphasis on delivering high quality, beautiful development. But how can planning officers ensure new development meets these aspirations? This Kent Design online Masterclass explores the tools available to planners to manage and assess design quality.

Simon Harrison (Ebbsfleet Development Corporation) will share a local authority perspective on delivering high quality design. Annabel Keegan (PJA),  and Helen Goodwin (Design South East) will introduce Building for a Healthy Life and lead an interactive session so attendees can get hands on with this great tool.

  • Understand the tools available to local authorities to negotiate high quality design
  • Explore Building for a Healthy Life and make use of it to assess proposals

Online and In-Person Learning events are designed for public and private sector practitioners with limited or some knowledge and experience of the topic, and those who would like to refresh or build on their existing knowledge.

NEW FORMAT! We understand it is difficult to find time for longer events so we have compressed this Masterclass to 2 hours so you can learn efficiently.

The Learning event will include:

  • live speaker presentations and Q&A
  • a live interactive workshop with activities and discussions
