An increasing number of local authorities are declaring a climate emergency, but what next?  What are the strategic and practical considerations of climate action?  And how can planning policy champion net zero emissions targets?

Considering climate resilience, mitigation and adaptation, we discuss the wider costs and benefits of sustainable development and the impact on planning and design in Kent.

Kent Design provides a platform for a cross-sector discussion on these issues, enabling Kent and Medway’s local authorities and private sector partners to share their knowledge and learn from others.

The roundtable will be chaired by Design South East Director, Chris Lamb, and will use Chatham House Rule.

Speaker:

Judith Sykes, Director, Expedition

Time: 09:00 – 11:00
Date: Friday 14th February
Venue: Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, Canterbury Cathedral, The Precincts, Canterbury, CT1 2EH.
