Since the publication of the current Kent Design Guide, new tools, techniques, and processes have been developed by local authorities and consultants in Kent, Medway and elsewhere to help promote, foster, and deliver design quality. These include design quality charters, design awards, site masterplans, guides and codes and design review and of course, the Kent Design training and networking programme.

In view of this, Kent County Council commissioned Design South East to facilitate two workshops to bring people together to share reflections on the effectiveness of the tools and techniques already in use, including the Kent Design Guide and to agree which approaches are the most valuable in terms of providing a foundation for delivering design quality in Kent and Medway.

Further information on the outcomes of the day will be available soon.
