We supported the client team in a successful bid to attract Lottery funding and to secure the award-winning Van Heyningen and Haward Architects. To do this, we prepared an initial feasibility study for the conversion of the Smithery building in Chatham Historic Dockyard to provide a home for the combined collections of model ships from the national museums. This included an assessment of the existing building in relation to the requirements of the model ships collection, and setting out the framework for the process of developing a detailed brief and the selection of the design team.
