Kiki Gkavogianni joined as a Design Advisor in November 2020 from London Borough of Lewisham where she was the panel manager for Lewisham’s Design Review Panel and where she worked with planning officers in providing design advice for minor and major schemes, as well as working on strategic policy documents. Kiki has worked in other London authorities in regeneration, development management planning and strategic planning. Kiki is an Ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation and is a strong advocate for equality and diversity across all aspects of social and cultural life.

Nichole Avan-Nomayo joined us in January as a Design Advisor. She qualified as an architect at the Bartlett School of Architecture and has more than 10-years’ experience in practice, working most recently as a senior architect on residential and new build projects, including listed buildings, commercial and mixed-use schemes. Alongside her design expertise, Nichole brings an understanding of the planning process from the applicant side as well as project management skills, including liaising with multiple stakeholders and advising on client’s property portfolios.  Nichole is a mentor to young aspiring architects and volunteers in local community outreach projects.

Lizzie Atherton has recently joined us as a Design Advisor from the Royal Borough of Greenwich, where she was a National Management Trainee on the National Graduate Development Programme. During her time at Greenwich, Lizzie worked in different teams across the organisation as well as completing a level 7 leadership and management qualification. In 2019 Lizzie graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture with a BSc in Architectural and Interdisciplinary Studies. Whilst studying, she worked part time for the RIBA as a public engagement officer running architecture workshops with local schools.

Erin Christie has recently joined our team as a Panel Coordinator. Erin moved to the UK in 2018 after completing her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada. She will be working alongside our Design Advisors to deliver our design advisory services.

Helen Goodwin joined us in January as our Head of Programmes and works closely with our local authority clients and their stakeholders to oversee and develop our design support and enabling programmes, championing our values of collaborative, multi-disciplinary dialogue and cross-sector knowledge sharing. Helen trained in architecture, has a background in anthropology and undertook PhD research on the social impact of publicly-funded urban regeneration projects across London. Through her work and her teaching, Helen is a passionate advocate for allowing multiple voices, including local communities, to contribute meaningfully to design and decision-making processes.
