Barny works on sustainable development, advising government, developers and investors across the full lifecycle, from market analysis through the construction process to optimising operation. He brings experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver developments that are ambitious and holistic. He is a Director at Planning and Economic consultancy, Turley, focusing on the net zero carbon transition. His passion is understanding how we can create a net zero future that brings greater prosperity to all.
Outside direct projects, Barny has worked on industry bodies and projects including the UK Green Building Council, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Net Zero and Charted Institution of Building Services Engineers Homes for the Future Group. He is employed design review work all over the UK. He also undertakes research and thought leadership around the future of our urban spaces to try and improve our sector as a whole. This has led to reports and pieces on our all-electric future, how we can improve productivity, addressed overheating in homes and he is now studying the future of our smart net zero energy system and the opportunities and challenges this brings.
