Ione is the Harlow & Gilston Garden Town Lead for Epping Forest District Council, helping to deliver regeneration and growth of 23,000 homes, schools, transport and green infrastructure in and around Harlow and the surrounfing area. Ione is a qualified architect, previously working at Archio on award-winning housing schemes and community engagement, and the redevelopment of sensitive heritage and community sites. Prior to this, Ione worked on international projects at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects (USA) and SMC Alsop (London). Ione leads on placeshaping, engagement and outreach for the Garden Town, and is focused on ensuring community voices and underrepresented groups are heard within strategic planning. Ione has volunteered with the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and as a RIBA Architecture Ambassador, and has also taught and reviewed at a number of leading UK architecture courses.
