Luke has over 35 years experience of environmental design and planning in the UK and overseas. An ongoing thread being research into Ecourbanism, climate change and biodiversity, and especially design for health of people and planet. Recent papers/presentations have been to European Healthcare Design, Futurescape, Urban and WHO Healthy Cities congress. The studio has promoted Green and Blue infrastructure and participated in the first Biophilic Design congress at Cornell University (2013). Climate Change has been a central concern for the last 25 years and includes research for CABE Space on carbon offsetting, and leading an LI workshop on climate change (2007). Currently completing briefings for the Landscape Institute on the Value of Natural Capital to Health and Wellbeing’ and writing about Landscape and Biodiversity. He has been a member of the Landscape Institute Policy & Communications Committee for the last seven years, and has been contributing to DSE design reviews since 2012.
