An Urban Designer and chartered town planner, Robin has worked predominately in London for organisations including the London boroughs of Lambeth, Tower Hamlets and Brent, London Docklands Development Corporation, the London Development Agency and more recently Transport for London as Head of Urban Design.
He has led and worked on a range of projects at different scales and complexity, from the redesign of streets and spaces to the design and build of complex infrastructure schemes such as Wembley’s White Horse Bridge and the East London cable car where he was client design manager. He was lead design advisor on the master-planning of an urban extension, for the design of high density housing schemes and for active travel projects, particularly pedestrian and cycle networks in London. He commissioned and edited publications including ‘SuDS in London: a guide’ and continues to promote water sensitive design as part of placemaking.
After leaving TfL, Robin set up his own Urban Design consultancy and has worked for clients as varied as the Design Council, the States of Jersey (on behalf of the Design Council), Network Rail, the Institute of Place Management and for Stevenage Borough Council as their Principal Design Advisor on major schemes in the town.
