Manual for Streets

Manual for Streets: how to apply this national guidance on street design

Manual for Streets emphasises that streets should be places where people want to live and spend time in. It aims to reduce the impact of vehicles on residential streets by asking practitioners to plan street design intelligently and proactively, and gives a high priority to the needs of pedestrians, cyclists and users of public transport. Our training is delivered by a Manual for Streets expert and provides essential guidance for practitioners involved in the planning, design, provision and approval of new residential streets, and modifications to existing ones.
