Ben joined Design South East at the start of 2020. A planner with over five years’ experience in local and central government where he worked on, amongst many other things, the revision of the new National Planning Policy Framework in 2018. Ben was also part of the team responsible for providing development consent for the Thames Tideway Tunnel.
Having lived in tens of neighbourhoods in eight cities across four countries and travelled through many more, often by bike, Ben brings a breadth of skill and experience from a life prior to his career as a planner and urbanist. That extensive experience informs a people-centric approach to work, life and the built environment.
Ben attained a BA Hons in Town and Country Planning from the University of West of England and is a lifelong learner.
