Laura joined Design South East as Learning Manager in July 2019 from the Victoria & Albert Museum, where she managed the cultural heritage work-based learning provision.
Having worked at a national level on qualification development and external moderation, Laura was appointed to the Department for Education’s Creative & Design T-Level panel, interrogating policy decisions and advising on the development of new sector-specific qualifications. Prior to that Laura worked in both lecturing and museum education roles, linking collections to the curriculum to develop responsive learning programmes and audience engagement strategies.
As a self-builder, Laura has completed two projects on gap and infill sites, including No.49 which won RIBA London, RIBA London Small Project of the Year and RIBA national awards.
Laura has a BA (Hons) in Architecture, an MA in Art History and a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education & Training, and she is a Fellow of the RSA.
