Sogand is a qualified architect specialising in spatial planning and urban design. Prior to joining Design South East in 2018, Sogand practiced architecture with Metropolitan Workshop for 5 years, where she led on a vision and area plan for London’s Waterloo West.
In 2016, she won an RIBA NWLSA award for ‘quality design combined with social engagement, entrepreneurship and activism’ on a self-initiated project in Nepal exploring ethical and sustainable practices.
She gained her Part 3 at the University of Westminster, Part 2 as a member of the Free Unit at London Metropolitan University, graduating with distinction, and Part 1 from the University of Sheffield, with a first.
Sogand is a member of OKRA, an architecture collective based among industry on Old Kent Road, and in her spare time enjoys skiing and building.
