Introducing Kent Design LUNCH & LEARN – a series of online 1hr briefing events for 2021/22
In 2021, Portsmouth was selected as one of 14 councils to receive funding to test the application of the National Model Design Code in their local area. Portsmouth City Council teamed up with Design South East to prepare design code guidance for the city’s post-war estates.
In this Lunch and Learn Briefing session, Laura Archer (Portsmouth City Council) and Helen Goodwin (Design South East) will explore the lessons learned from the city’s work on the NMDC Pilot project and offer guidance for any local authorities embarking on their own design codes. This session will be of interest to anyone involved in the design coding process. Two short presentations will be followed by time for Q&A and discussion.
Online Learning events are designed for public and private sector practitioners with limited or some knowledge and experience of the topic, and those who would like to refresh or build on their existing knowledge.
The Online Learning event will include:
- live speaker presentations and Q&A
- a member only resource library of ‘watch again’ content, presentations and other documentation for further reading
Delivered by:
Laura Archer, Senior Planning Officer, Portsmouth City Council
Helen Goodwin, Head of Programmes, Design South East
