Alison Poole

Alison qualified as an Architect in both the UK and Australia and subsequently obtained a masters degree in property development and project management. The majority of her career has been London based and has focused on leading high density, mixed use/residential regeneration schemes for both private and public sector clients. As such, she is experienced at dealing with large sites, takes a pragmatic approach to design and understands the complexities of the development process. She appreciates the need to balance conflicting demands but overall believes that good design must be used to enrich people’s lives and that it is essential when establishing communities.

More recently, Alison has been involved in individual housing projects of a more semi rural nature – including a new build eco-house. Her design skills and problem solving capabilities are currently being challenged with the refurbishment of a 22 metre classic wooden motoryacht.

Alison sits on the Steering Committee for a Brighton and Hove Neighbourhood Planning Forum and has taken part in the RIBA’s Architectural Ambassadors Programme whereby architectural professionals partner with local schools to inspire children about the potential of the built environment.
