Catherine Phillips

Catherine is a Landscape Architect and a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with over 20 years’ experience. She has a keen interest in improving the quality of the landscape in the public realm not only through the considered choice of appropriate materials and spatial design but also the development of blue and green infrastructure design and the protection of existing landscape assets and how this can benefit both the visual appearance of the public realm as well as improving biodiversity and water quality.

She has recently joined PJA as Associate Director in the Placemaking team. Her experience working in multi-disciplinary teams throughout her career has included large scale infrastructure projects, residential and commercial developments on brownfield and greenfield sites, and infrastructure projects for highway and flood defence schemes and public realm in town centres. She is experienced in a breadth of landscape architecture skills including the production of Design Guides and Design Codes and concept design through to implementation and site supervision, as well as Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment.
