Ibrahim Buhari

Ibrahim Buhari is the founding director of IbrahimBuhari Architects – a practice dedicated to delivering outstanding architecture, with a focus on conceptual clarity, the use of high-quality materials and craftsmanship. As an architect and urban design practitioner, Ibrahim is working at the forefront of current research and design within key sectors including housing, mixed-use urban regeneration and heritage conservation.

He combines years of private sector experience as an architect with his public sector experience as a Senior Urban Design Officer at the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea to further his commitment in supporting high standards of design and shaping a high quality everyday built environment for all.

Ibrahim is a panel member of Brighton & Hove and Bromley Design Review Panels. He is a Director/Trustee of Build Studios – a registered charity committed to developing a socially responsible built environment sector through providing affordable co-working space, events and education.

Ibrahim is passionate about increasing diversity in the built environment and has actively worked to redress under representation of professionals from underrepresented backgrounds through his roles as an expert advisory group member of the RIBA’s EDI steering group ‘Architects for Change and through his role as a mentor for Blueprint For All (formerly the The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust), the University of East London and with the RIBA.
