Louise Hooper

Louise is a Chartered Landscape Architect and Landscape Planner.

After training in Edinburgh, she spent 15 years in Hong Kong and Singapore working throughout the region as both client and consultant on major strategic, environmental, tourism and infrastructure projects. Returning to the UK Louise worked for Medway Council, co-led the Medway Landscape and Urban Design Framework and worked on Rochester Riverside, Chatham Waterfront, Holborough Cement Works and the Chanel Tunnel Rail Link.

LHLA was set up over 20 years ago, initially to represent Medway at a public inquiry; Louise continues to act as expert witness on landscape matters, specialising in appeals and objections as well as landscape-led design projects and appraisals. LHLA is a signatory to UK Landscape Architects Declare Climate & Biodiversity Emergency.

Louise was a judge for the Kent Design Awards and currently sits on the Design Review Panels for the South Downs National Park and Design South East.
