Michelle Tomlinson

Michelle is a Project Architect at Hawkins\Brown, AJ100 Practice of the Year 2016 & 2017.  She is currently working on a large scale, multi-stakeholder higher education project. Her high-profile portfolio of work encompasses education and residential design, with award winning residential developments.

In parallel Michelle is a part-time Lecturer in Architecture at De Montfort University, running a design studio for final year BA students, and is a visiting critic at Oxford Brookes. She has been a mock examiner for RIBA Part 3 at Nottingham University and a RIBA Architectural Ambassador for Schools. Early in her career she worked as a Freelance Designer/Artist Assistant with leading artists and galleries in Australia. She has also been a Consultant for Manchester Women’s Design Service, offering design advice on creating safer environments within urban design, which influenced regulation changes by the local council in Manchester
