Prince Ajene

Prince is an architectural and urban designer, with experience cutting across architecture, urbanism, and design. He is a director at Henry Ajene Studio Ltd and a trustee of the Commonwealth Heritage Forum.

He has expertise in delivering residential, cultural, urban design and mixed-use projects in the UK and West-Africa. He recently served as the UK design team lead for the award-winning Guest Artist Space, Lagos, an arts complex for the British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare CBE, RA, while working with Elsie Owusu Architects (EOA).

Driven by a passion for the built environment and the history of place-making, Prince’s approach centres on exploring and interrogating the impact of the built environment on everyday life. He is committed to positively contributing to society through the creation of environmentally and socially responsive buildings, places, and communities.

More recently, Prince was nominated for the 2022 Manifestos: Architecture for a New Generation by the London Festival of Architecture & Design Museum, London.
