In July the latest Kent Design study tour took a mixed group of planners and other built environment professionals to visit a series of site across South East London. The tour focused on a range of off-site construction systems, from the CLT system used at the TNG Youth and Community Centre, introduced by DSE panel member Dieter Kleiner from RCKa Architects; to the modular system used at Place Ladywell, introduced by Andrew Partridge from Rogers Stirk Harbour+Partners.

The group also visited the innovative Urban House system currently under construction at Kidbrooke village, introduced by David Brown from Berkeley Group. This offered an insight into to forefront of prefabricated design and construction techniques, with the tour receiving highly positive feedback from a diverse range of industry professionals from planning officers to architects and developers.

We would like to thank all those involved and look forward to organising the next tour!
